Our Resources
The Global Learning Resource Library contains a wide range of materials
for use by teachers, students and the community. These come in a variety of
formats, including:
- Books
- Journals and articles
- Teaching kits
- Posters
- Videos, CDs, DVDs
- Web links
These materials are available for loan to all of our
members.
Non-members are free to use our resources within the Resource Library where workspace and a photocopier are available. A selection of
books, kits and videos are available for purchase.
Our resources are organised into four primary topic areas:
- Basic Needs: The
basic
requirements necessary for human survival and essential to the formation
of a just world - water, food, health care, education, and shelter.
- Global Links: The
connections
between countries - such as, trade, aid, debt, international
cooperation and the environment - which bind us together and
serve as the building blocks for sustainable development.
- Human Rights: The rights of all
people, but in particular, those of the most marginalised - women, the poor, refugees, indigenous people
- whose
contribution to development is most often ignored.
- Taking Action: The mechanisms which are available for the establishment of a just, peaceful and sustainable world through individual and group action.
